Maxine Cahill, Owner and Master Stylist
At a young age, Maxine knew that a career as a stylist was her calling. Starting her career in 1999, attending school at Winnipeg Technical College, she began pursuing her dream to make people feel beautiful inside and out. Adding to her wealth of experience, Maxine worked as an educator for Goldwell and KMS California starting in 2012 until 2015 when she shifted focus and decided to make Les Beaux et Belles, her dream salon, a reality. Creating styles that fit her guests’ lifestyle and personality is her passion. As is her mission, every guest is guaranteed to leave Maxine’s chair with a smile on their face, and a bounce in their step.

À un jeune âge, Maxine avait déjà envie de commencer sa carrière comme coiffeuse. En 2015, elle a recentré ses efforts et a décidé d’ouvrir son propre salon, Les Beaux et Belles. Sa passion est de créer des styles qui se conforment au mode de vie et à la personnalité de ses clients. Sa mission est de voir à ce que chaque client quitte sa chaise avec un sourire radieux et un pied léger.

Marycel Tamayo, Stylist
Marycel Tamayo, born and raised in Winnipeg discovered her dream to become a hairdresser at the age of 7. After graduating high school she quickly enrolled in post-secondary education at Scientific Marvel Beauty school. Her passion for hair became evident as she enjoyed competing at live hair shows. In 2014 Marycel won Manitoba Stylist of the year from the Mirror Awards – Canadian Hairdresser Magazine. She was a loyal hairstylist at Élan Hair Studio for 15 years and has recently ventured out to work independently out of Les Beaux et Belles.
Marycel offers a range of hair services, from haircuts and styling for special occasions hair colouring, balayage, colour corrections, keratin treatments, and extensions, all with wonderful products like Schwarzkopf Professional and Kevin Murphy. Marycel continues to provide her clients with hair that looks great and suits their lifestyles.
During Marycel’s time off, she enjoys working out, watching a good Netflix series and hanging out with her family.

Emily Bernardin, Stylist
Emily’s love for the beauty industry started in her childhood home. Her mother would colour her hair blue in the evening after putting Emily to bed, but she would stay up and peak at what her mother was doing, completely enamoured. Finally, one day in the third grade, her mother allowed her to colour her hair. Hot pink streaks did by her mom in the kitchen sink. She remembers how it felt to have that expression of self, the feeling of pure bliss seeing her new hair for the first time. She strives to give each guest sitting in her chair the same feeling.
Emily graduated from hair school in 2015, she then did her apprenticeship at Elan Hair Studio, learning as much as she could from Marycel and Maxine.
A Be•You•Tee school graduate, Emily has a passion for makeup as well as hair and loves to help people feel as gorgeous as she can during their visit.

Mariana Lavryk, Eyelash Artist
Mariana, a certified eyelash artist, guarantees the highest level of technical and artistic skill, specializing in a safe and healthy application of all her services. With nine years of experience, she owned and operated her own studio in Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine.
After relocating with her family to Winnipeg last year, she continues to be dedicated to the art of accentuating her clients’ natural beauty. Her ultimate goal is to help all her clients emphasize their true beauty and achieve their own style of effortless elegance.
